I was blessed to be born and raised in Piscataway, New Jersey, to two wonderful parents with 3 sisters. Growing up in a ministry family taught me early how important and impactful a life live for God could be.

I felt God’s call to ministry while attending a small Bible college in upstate New York. It was there that I made the commitment to do my best to use the gifts that God has given me for His service. I had the wonderful opportunity to complete my undergraduate degree at Liberty University, and heeding God’s call, I pursued my seminary education at Regent University. It is there that I met my beautiful wife, Jana, and we began our ministry journey together. As we round out our seventh year of marriage, I cannot imagine a life partner that could be a greater blessing than her.

In my walk with God, He has shown me time and time again His incredible faithfulness, and as I have learned to trust Him more and more, my life has been blessed in amazing ways. My desire is to serve Him faithfully and to walk worthy of His call in my life.

Here at Middle River Baptist Church, we are blessed to be surround by a diverse community of young families. Every day, as I drive past the schools in my neighborhood, I see young people full of hope and possibility. There is no greater time than now for us to bring the good news of the gospel to this generation.

My passion for our church is that we would walk together in the fullness of Christ. I believe that in the body of Christ, when we fellowship together in unity and love, walking in the truth of God’s word, exercising the gifts that God has given us we have the opportunity to grow in our maturity together into the fullness that God would have for us.

My prayer is that we would be willing participants in the work that God is doing. As Paul says, let us present our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable to God, which is our reasonable service (Romans 12:1), and let us heed the words of Jesus, deny ourselves, and take up our crosses to follow Him (Matthew 16:24).

In His Service,

Pastor Lonnie Duckett
