FAQs:
· Where should I drop my child off and pick them up?
There will be a registration/welcome table inside the doors of the main entrance. Look for the sign “Worship Center” on the south side of the building. This is also where you will pick them up. You will sign them out at the same table and your child will be in the auditorium during our closing activities.
· What should my child wear?
Clothes that are comfortable! Weather permitting we will be going outside for 20-30 minutes each night.
· What should my child bring?
There’s no need to bring anything! If there’s something that you would like your child to have (i.e. water bottle, sunscreen, etc.), that is totally fine too just not required.
· What if the weather is bad?
In the case of inclement weather we will utilize the gymnasium for our recreation rotation.
· What will my child be doing?
They will be learning songs and Bible lessons. They will play games, do crafts and enjoy a snack each night (there will be a place on the registration to let us know of any dietary restrictions and/or allergies). They will have SO much fun!
· How will my child be kept safe?
We take safety seriously at MRBC. There will always be a minimum of two adults with each group of children. All of our volunteers are active at MRBC, have had background checks and undergone training. Your child will also be put into age appropriate groups.
· I want my children to be in the same group but they are different ages. Is that possible?
Please reach out to us and we will do our best to accommodate your family. We will not allow younger children to be placed in an older aged group, but it is possible for an older sibling to stay with the younger child. Give us a call and we’ll make a plan! (410-686-8810 (office) or 406-465-4660 (Liz Hyatt, VBS Coordinator).
· What is “Family Night”?
Family Night happens Friday night, July 12th at the same time as VBS. We’ll all start in the auditorium and you’ll get to see your child sing the songs they’ve been working on all week and the verse they have learned. Then we’ll go outside (weather permitting)! We’ll have a bouncy house, cotton candy, sno balls, popcorn and more. It’s a fun, culmination of the week and we look forward to hanging out with your family!
· My child has special needs. Can they come?
Yes! There is a place on the registration form for you to share that information. The VBS Coordinator will reach out to you prior to the start of VBS to create an action plan that will best support your child.
· What does MRBC believe?
You can check out what we believe as a church here: What We Believe — Middle River Baptist Church
